is made by famous Edo Maki-e Artisan "Kotobuki".
This design is an AGJ's original. You can not find anywhere else.
Edo Maki-e
is the best known Maki-e technique in Japan.
This is original Maki-e fountain pen based on Sailor fountain pen.
Bat, Scorpion and Gecko are painted very vividly by positionning them in the circles.

Tsuke-Gaki: Bring up the designs in high relief by Urushi lacquer and then, permiate gold powder on them.
Ke-Uchi: Draw narrow lines for the veins of a leaf or the outlines of a flower and sprinkle gold powder on them. Use more sticky urushi lacquer than other urushi, and raise the designs.

After togidashi maki-e, Togidashi Hira maki-e is decorated Hira maki-e on togidashi maki-e.
After togidashi maki-e, Togidashi Taka maki-e is decorated Taka maki-e on togidashi maki-e.
Burnishing is needed when coarse powders are sprinkled.
