    Description

This Antique Hammer Head Mold for making Lead, Brass, Copper and Bronze Soft Faced Hammers is a #11 and in Good Condition.  It features a Hammer Handle Hole, Pour Spout and 2 hinged halves that will need a c-clamp or other clamping devise.   It has piece broken off on one side of its base. (see picture)  This doesn't interfere with its use or function.  There are no cracks but it does have some surface rust as we have not cleaned or restored this tool in any manner, other to clean one side to look for a manufacture's name.  We leave those decisions up to the eventual buyer.  There appears to be the remnant of "Patented" stamped horizontally on the side of the body.  There may have been a company name above it, but it is really indistinguishable.
    There is a hole
    to insert the handle
on the side where you would use a c-clamp.
Lead hammer metal is 95% lead and 5% antimony and comes in a 4 3/4-lb. bar. Pouring temperature range is 650° to 700° F. Melting point is slightly lower.  The lead is not included with this mold.
There are no previous owner’s names or ID markings on this tool.
This item is sold with the Kent's Tools 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
