FOSTORIA is recognized by many Americans as one of the most prolific makers of fine glass tableware. The company originated in Fostoria, Ohio in 1888 but relocated to Moundsville, West Virginia after encountering a shortage of natural gas, used in the manufacturing process. The company produced wares in crystal and magnificent colors, enhancing some pieces with etchings. In 1983, the company was sold to Lancaster Colony, who ceased operations three years later. Some of the company molds were sold and Lenox continued to produce some Fostoria patterns for a while.
This item is the tray for a creamer and sugar. It has NO chips, cracks or scratches. There are minor “rub marks” consistent with prior use. This is made of clear glass, which is consistent with most of the pieces in this pattern.
Please view all photos to better determine the characteristics and condition of this piece. The tray is approximately 7 inches in length and 4 inches in diameter at the widest part.
